It is known that the European and American flame retardant safety regulations stipulate three burning levels for textiles. Level 1 is the general combustion characteristic; Level 2 is medium combustion characteristic; Class 3 is a type of fast and intense burning. This type of textile is considered dangerous and flammable. This type of textile is not suitable for clothing, especially children's clothing, as it burns quickly and violently and poses a fire hazard.

According to the analysis, the main reasons for the unqualified flame retardant performance of textile and clothing are as follows: first, some garment processing enterprises need to improve their risk awareness, use too light and thin textile raw materials in the production process, and fail to test the flame retardant performance of the final product in time; Secondly, some of the products of some enterprises have defects in clothing design, and some of the accessories of clothing use feather decoration, which leads to the easy burning of such clothes.

In this regard, China's entry-exit inspection and quarantine departments suggest relevant enterprises: first, master domestic and foreign technical laws and regulations. Export garment manufacturers should pay attention to the trend of foreign laws and regulations on flame retardant performance of textile and garment, accurately grasp all laws and regulations, and organize production in strict accordance with the requirements of the exporting countries. Second, the purchase of good raw materials. When purchasing, raw material suppliers with good integrity, large scale and perfect detection means should be selected as far as possible, and the flame retardant performance test report of raw materials should be provided by the supplier as far as possible, so as to ensure the qualification of raw materials. Third, the enterprise should carry out the risk pre-judgment review of the first sample design, strictly control the product development process, and avoid the occurrence of quality control caused by design mistakes.
